This 2-bike rack grips your bikes by the downtube, making it great for carrying bikes with fenders. It's also great for carrying e-bikes. Sliding wheel trays help prevent your bike's handlebars from bumping the saddles.

Specs:
The Freedom has cradles with ratchet straps that hold your bikes by the downtubes, top tubes, or seat posts. These cradles have a rubber lining that won't scratch or scuff your bike's paint. They also have grooves that accommodate brake lines and cables.
The cradles pivot and slide up and down the central mast. This allows the rack to grab your bike's tube at the perfect angle. Twist knobs secure the cradles in place.
The wheel cradles slide to accommodate bikes with different wheelbases. Each cradle has a ratcheting strap so you can secure your bikes' wheels. If you want to carry a fat bike, you can replace the rack's wheel trays with fat bike cradles (SA4419 - sold separately). Or, if you want to carry 2 recumbent bikes, you can replace the horizontal arm with a longer arm (SA4415B - sold separately) that accommodates recumbents with up to 57" wheelbases.
You can fold down the upright mast by pulling a lever at the base. This allows you to easily access your vehicle's rear cargo area, so you can leave the rack in your hitch without it interfering with your cargo hatch or backup camera. The compact design also lets you easily store the rack in your garage when it's not in use.
It installs with a threaded hitch pin that helps prevent rattling around in your vehicle's hitch receiver. An anti-rattle hitch lock (SA3022 - sold separately) helps deter theft of the rack. You can also thread a cable lock (SA981 - sold separately) through the hole in the base of the rack and through your bike frames to secure your bikes to the rack.

Great product
well made.
Very easy to install and holds bikes great. Very Pleased
Love this rack!
East to assemble and install. Very sturdier and well designed!
Well made. Carried four bikes a thousand miles without any problem.
I'm very happy with this rack. We've taken it on several long out-of-state trips (Subaru Outback 2014) and it has worked great. Great investment for our family.
Tire Mount for a 2015 Wrangler Unlimited.
Installation is easy. However the mounting bracket doesn't fit well. If you look at the video on Saris website, (I believe this is a wrangler they are using) the top two tire bolts and the mount have very small contact point. The contact point is so small that all the weight and pressure seems to be concentrated on such a small area on the bolts. I would think that this could damage the bolts. I placed the bracket on its side which gives a much better and greater contact surface area. The problem with doing it this way is that its not perfectly square, thus in the end, the rack is slightly off level. Too me it's worth having the better contact area for this offset. I also used a little Silcone lubricant spay on the attachment bolt. Too keep it clean, rust free etc.
The Rack itself is of excellent quality, Bike racks live on our SUVs. This is the first Saris rack we have tried. The only time, we plan on taking the rack off is for extreme off roading. The only reason for that is to ensure rear clearance of the rack. Of course you would have to do this for any platform rack including anything that could be mounted to any trailer hitch. In any event, we just recently put the rack on and it seems very stable, strong and everything you would want in a bike rack.
I found the attachment points to the bike to my liking. After the first setup, the bikes really fit nicely, they could not be any easier to put on and take off, just a great rack. We are using it for our 26 inch Specialized Stump Jumper and Eros. Total weight of both bikes is about 56 lbs. True, this doesn't come with locks but personally I think such locks give a false sense of security and we don't use them on our other hitch carrier that comes with them. Any crook can easily get through any such device quickly. The other issue I saw on reviews of this product is it doesn't fold up. It sticks out 18 inches from the Wrangle gate tire , My folded up bike hitch on my other SUV sticks out 10 inches. To me this is a non issue as I am aware of it.
Overall, I would have given this Saris bike rack 5 plus stars if it wasn't for the mounting bracket. I would even pay a little more money for a better bracket as this rack is that good.
Very solid bike rack that is easy to use. Might not be as fancy as more expensive systems, but this meets our needs perfectly. Straps take some getting used to, but they stay secure.
The hitch bolt that you tighten works well to prevent rattling/ movement of the rack when loaded with bikes. After purchasing we took this on a 1800 road trip with four bikes and had no issues. Great product!
I love this bike rack. I leave the bracket installed behind the spare tire on our 2008 Rav4. Then it takes less than 5 minutes to attach the rack to the bracket, and less than that to load 2 bikes. The rack is snug against the tire, and doesn't wobble the way a trailer-mounted rack does.
The bikes are supported at the wheels and the crossbar, eliminating the swinging and swaying that a top mount would have. Best of all, I can open the Rav4's rear door while the bikes are loaded (although I don't want to that that often because of the added weight on the hinges).
The biggest downside is that new Rav4s don't have the exterior spare tire, so this rack wouldn't work. I guess we'll going to hang on to the 2008 for a while in order to enjoy the bike rack.
Good quality made in USA, great features, highly recommended!
Well built, easy to put together, I’ve used it to haul 4 bikes for a few 100 plus mile trips and so far I have no complaints.
